Thai Seng Fish Soup is a popular coffee shop located in Industrial Estate, Singapore. Renowned for its delicious fish soup, this establishment has garnered a loyal following who are willing to patiently wait in the perpetually long queues. The quality of the food is highly regarded, with customers stating that the sliced fish is even better than the fried fish. Adding a fried egg to the soup is highly recommended. The generous portions and impeccable taste consistently receive rave reviews, earning a perfect score of 5/5 for food quality, quantity, taste, and service. However, it is important to note that the atmosphere of the coffee shop leaves much to be desired, with a rating of 1/5 due to the lack of ventilation and extreme heat. Despite this, the friendly and engaging conversation with the uncle while waiting for your order is a highlight for many customers. Open from 10am onwards, Thai Seng Fish Soup is a must-visit for fish soup enthusiasts looking for a delectable and satisfying meal.

Never a day without queue. IMHO, the sliced fish is better than the fried fish. And the fried egg is a must add on. Visit at least once every week!

Avoid buying drink from the stall, the altitude is very very poor.
This is probably one of the best fish soup in the East. Perpetual long queue does not put off the regulars of this place and rightly so. The fish slices are fresh and tender, and the soup is generously filled with vegetables as well. The broth is oozing with goodness and I always finish till last drop. Best time to come is around 11am from my experience.
Be ready for 1hr Q. Yes the fish and soup is really good. Generous amount of vegetables and remember to add extra fried eggs.
The queue was as "legend" said, already formed when I reached at 10:15am and had to wait for around 25 minutes. I would think 10:30-11:00 is probably the optimal time to visit.
Ordered the dual-fishes soup. The sliced fish was indeed the star. It seemed slightly marinated which did not hide its freshness. It was smooth and tender. Comparing its compatibility with the two types of chilli, I would think the sliced fish went better with the chilli sauce. The chilli sauce's bright colour was the obvious hint of its spiciness but not over-bearing. The fried fish had the obvious egg taste and meatier. However, it tasted drier in comparison to the sliced fish.
The soup itself was rich yet clear. However, I would think it is not extremely exceptional to warrant the long queue. The fried egg that was part of the soup gave the added dimension of texture despite being soaked in the soup, though I wouldn't think it to be as spectacular as what I read in other reviews. The soup also came with the normal egg to be lightly cooked purely by the hot soup.
Overall, I would recommend to order just the sliced fish soup if the queue is short or maybe no longer than 15 minutes.
Visit this store every Saturday,it's worth the wait in line.
The fish and other seafood are always fresh.
My favorite is the tomyam seafood,it's flavorful and delicious.
Support local food and don't miss their fish soup – a must-try!
Really tasty fish slice!! Queued for 40mins on sat at 1130am. Worth my time... shd really try if u hv not. Next time will try the fried fish and tom yum soup. Must add the fried egg
Go early for lunch as the queue is really long. We ordered the double fish soup bee hoon that comes with both fried fish and sliced fish. You can add on fried egg.
I like that the soup comes with many cabbages. The fried fish was ok. The sliced fish was really tender and good and I'd highly recommend getting the sliced fish soup. The chilli sauce was spicy and went well with the dish.
Food was good. Definitely worth the try and wait. We waited for about 30mins on a Saturday at about 1pm. The fish were sliced thickly and the soup was flavourful. Don't forget to pair it with their special chili. But be wary as the chili is super spicy.
